Specific aims: a) construct a sociometric kinship network among members of the HAALSI cohort and their relations in the AHDSS b) construct a sociometric household co-membership network among members of the HAALSI cohort and their co-members in the AHDSS c) construct a measure of network-embedded resources (social capital) for each member of the HAALSI cohort South Africa All AHDSS observations All AHDSS observations inception – 2018 TO 31 December 2019 Sociometric Kinship Network: To construct a kinship network among HAALSI participants, we will first construct family trees among AHDSS participants. HAALSI participants will be a subset of this sociometric network. Sociometric Household Co-Membership Network: To construct a household-comembership network among HAALSI participants, we will first construct such a network among AHDSS participants.HAALSI participants will comprise a subset of the nodes in these networks. Network-Embedded Resources: Network-embedded resources will be measured using asset-index measures included in the AHDSS. Each node in the above-mentioned sociometric networks will be associated with a vector of asset-index measures, each corresponding to the household they lived in at a given time.
